Though you slay me

When God puts suffering in our lives are we going to turn and give him abuse? When God takes from us are we going to run away? When we're torn apart are we going to blame God? Why do we do this? Why do we blame God and not worship, praise him and thank him for putting all of this in our lives? This suffering isn't meaningless. When you lose your friends, when your loved one dies, when you get into an accident, when you lose your job, when you lose all hope. It's not meaningless. Think about the toughest moment in your life. Did you praise God? Or did you abuse him? Guaranteed that whatever you went through made you stronger and gave God glory. If you can't see that, it's alright. Something happened. God doesn't do things just for the sake of doing things. Everything God does has a purpose. Everything God does isn't in vain. There's a bigger plan than what you have set in your mind. You won't understand why or what God is doing. But that's the beauty of God. We don't understand God, and we should be comforted by that. God gave us so much more than we deserve. He fought with death so we didn't have to. Why are we so selfish that when things get hard, we blame the one that gave us life? We deserve the worst possible thing that could ever happen to us. But God gave us more than imaginable. Jesus went through everything we go through and even more. Have you ever had someone do something terrible to you and it feels impossible to forgive and love them? Well every bad experience we have experienced, we have done to God but somehow he forgives, somehow he still loves us.

Though you slay me Lord, I will praise you. Though you take from me, I will bless your name. Though you ruin me, still I will worship. Sing a song to the one who is all I need.
